Directions to Camp Hahobas!

Camp Hahobas is a Boy Scout property owned and maintained by the Pacific Harbors Council (Tacoma, WA). It is located at 1365 NE Hahobas Way, Tahuya, WA 98588. It is staffed year round by a dedicated Camp Ranger, Darren Bouta. For reservations to use Camp Hahobas please contact the Tacoma Scout Office at 253-752-7731.

From Tacoma:

Camp Hahobas is located about one hour west of Tacoma. From I-5 take WA Highway 16 west until the highway comes to an end. The highway will end into WA Highway 3. You will need to veer to the left to head in the proper direction. Follow WA Highway 3 south towards Belfair. When you come into Belfair turn right at the first stop light (Safeway will be located immediately to your right). Follow NE Clifton Lane 1 block to the 4 way stop. Proceed straight through the 4 way stop onto WA Highway 300 west.

From Olympia/Aberdeen:

Camp Hahobas is located about an hour and a half north of Olympia. If you are coming from Aberdeen or Olympia, follow US Highway 101 north to the intersection of WA Highway 3 north at Shelton. Follow Highway 3 north to Belfair. When you come into Belfair turn left at the stop light for NE Clifton Lane (Safeway will be located to your left just past the intersection). Follow NE Clifton Lane 1 block to the 4 way stop. Proceed straight through the 4 way stop onto WA Highway 300 west.

From Seattle:

Take the Seattle-Bremerton Ferry from the Seattle Waterfront. From the Ferry Terminal follow WA Highway 304 (Washington Avenue) up the hill 0.3 miles. The highway will then turn left onto Burwell Street. Follow Burwell Street 1.3 miles and turn left onto N Callow Ave. This is all still WA Highway 304. Follow N Callow Ave for 1.4 miles staying in the left lane. WA Highway 304 will end and split onto WA Highway 3. Follow the ramp to the left to take WA Highway 3 south. About 2.2 miles after merging onto the highway veer left in Gorst to continue on WA Highway 3 to Belfair. Follow the highway for another 8.0 miles into Belfair. When you come into Belfair turn right at the first stop light (Safeway will be located immediately to your right). Follow NE Clifton Lane 1 block to the 4 way stop. Proceed straight through the 4 way stop onto WA Highway 300 west.

Important Note:
Belfair is the last convenient source for many amenities including gas and groceries. There are also a variety of restaurants if your unit wishes to make a stop for a meal.

From Belfair:

Follow WA Highway 300 west for 3.1 miles to Belfair State Park. Just past Belfair State Park WA Highway 300 ends and turns into North Shore Road. Continue on North Shore Road for about 0.3 miles. Turn right (up the hill) onto NE Belfair-Tahuya Road. After about 7.7 miles turn right onto NE Dewatto Road. 2.2 miles later turn left onto Hahobas Way (a dirt road). The turn onto Hahobas Way is on a 90 degree turn. Please exercise caution while making the turn as the corner does not provide much visibility. Once on Hahobas Way follow the signs to Camp Hahobas. The front gate is 1.4 miles for the paved road. Welcome to Camp Hahobas!
